- Here are the standard color codes usually found inside AUX cables:
🎨 Common Wire Color Codes for TRRS (4-pole)
Tip (Left Audio) → White (sometimes Blue/Green)
Ring 1 (Right Audio) → Red
Ring 2 (Ground for L+R+Mic) → Black / Copper / Bare wire
Sleeve (Microphone) → Yellow / Green (varies by cable)
🎨 For TRS (3-pole, only Audio L+R, no mic)
Tip (Left Audio) → White
Ring (Right Audio) → Red
Sleeve (Ground) → Black / Copper / Bare wire
⚠️ Note:
In cheap/local cables, colors sometimes vary → safest way is to use a multimeter continuity test from jack tip/ring to wire end.
Some cables don’t follow standard, so always confirm before soldering.
